WHO AM I
My name is SERGIO GOLDVARG, I'm an Architect and Journalist related to Cars & Motorsports. I've been writting - and I still do- in prestigious publications as CORSA Magazine, PARABRISAS Magazine, RUEDAS CLASICAS, l'ANNEE AUTOMOBILE DES VOITURES CLASSIQUES, AVENTURA AMERICANA, CLASSIC WHEELS, etc.
I am a passionate for Classic Cars ( specially the sixties era) and Diecast Scale Model Cars in 1/43 and 1/18 scales, mostly.
My miniature car collection was featured twice in the GUINNESS WORLD OF RECORDS and I was recently inducted in the HALL OF FAME.
This is the story of my Alfa Romeo 2600 Sprint Bertone 1963 which has special memories for me.
When I was a kid, I loved to go for a ride with my family to the Port of Buenos Aires, in an era that you could walk all over the place, and there was no "NO TRESPASSING" zones.
Once, my father was aware that the "Giulio Cesare" cruise has just arrived to the Buenos Aires Port and it was an exciting ship for the sixties.
I remember that when we have just arrived , the image of the ship was impressive, I've never seen something so big in my short life, but my eyes immediately lost focus of the "Giulio Cesare", and I observed that a huge crane was taking off the boat four amazing cars.
Nearly fourty years later, I discovered that one of those cars was was the Alfa Romeo 2600 Sprint that I bought...
